5 HEALTHY HOLIDAY TIPS

The laughter, joy, and love that circulates throughout the holiday season are so crucial to our health. Our hearts radiate when we are surrounded by family, sharing big meals, lots of laughter, and feeling so much gratitude. It truly causes us to glow!

We also realize that many of us need help navigating holiday traditions. Especially when food fear, stress, lack of boundaries, grief, guilt, or loss are present. It can be challenging, so we want to provide five self-care practices that help you de-stress as you say goodbye to the holiday season and prepare for future, healthier holidays!

Here Are Our Five Healthy Holiday Tips:

01 / Aromatherapy: create a safe sanctuary to return home amidst the chaos. Blend pine & cinnamon essential oils in a diffuser or humidifier (like this one) to soothe the skin while warming the home. Pine has mood-enhancing properties and cinnamon is a soothing spice.

02 / Run yourself a bath: Take some time to unplug and recharge here! (Is there anything a warm bath can't fix?) Try adding magnesium chloride flakes and a few drops of your favorite essential oil to your bath while reading a good book or enjoying a moment of stillness.

03 / Declutter: We love coming back to the concept of 'less is more' in our everyday lives, but it is even more beneficial during the holiday season. Decluttering your space helps to declutter your mind. It causes you to feel more energized and mentally clear! Now is the perfect time to donate what you no longer need and make room for the new.

04 / Sound Bath: You can find the 528-hertz tone on youtube and listen to it as a healing frequency. It can promote emotional restoration while relaxing your mind and body. We enjoy doing this while we gua sha or as we drift off into sleep at night.

05 / Move your body: Continuing healthy habits through the holidays, such as moving our body, provides consistency to our body and mind (and cultivates self-trust). Do your best with what you have - even something as simple as stretching for 10 minutes each day can promote relaxation.

As you practice these tips, remember that you are worthy of healthy holidays. You don't have to spend this time of year in the same chaos you have always felt. You can change your habits and mindset any time to feel more joy and see more glow! Let us know what helps you stay calm, centered, and joyous during the holidays - we welcome all insights x
