The story behind this mask stems from our love of mixing natural and nutrient-rich kitchen ingredients at home to squash skin concerns of all types (while truly nourishing and not stripping the skin's surface). This mask was one combination we realized did it all – targeting and treating a wide variety of concerns like hydration, acne, brightness, and aging. Soon after arose the need for a more convenient & less messy application method (plus a proven formulation).
So, for the girl seeking soft & sexy skin, we introduce you to the 'mask' by Shelby Naturals: A research-driven, ethically sourced, naturally effective mask made with extreme integrity & purity over the last two years.
We genuinely find joy in sourcing ingredients with the highest efficacy for our skin & yours. This mask specifically includes the best of the best. Saltwater pearls from Japan, 859+ mgo manuka honey from New Zealand, bovine colostrum (first milk) sourced from a single origin farm in the US – these rich individual components come together to create one rare and highly effective mask mixture. 01/ manuka honey 859+ MgO (UMF 20) — Our Manuka Honey is lab-tested for its unique antibacterial activity (measured in methylglyoxal content / also known as MGO). The laboratory test results are: Methylglyoxal (MGO) level 859 mg/kg. Another marker of antibacterial activity is the UMF grade. Active Manuka Honey, with a UMF rating of 20+, helps build the immune system and also, when applied topically, is an effective antibacterial treatment. Ours grades at 20.4! Like we said, only the best of the best.
02 / grass-fed pasture-raised bovine colostrum — Sourced from a single farm in the USA, this colostrum is grass-fed, low temp dried, undenatured, non irradiated, and single origin harvested. Its wide array of nutrients, including growth factors, proline-rich polypeptides, cytokines, immunoglobulins, and more, help to revitalize & reverse-age the skin – promoting youth & nourishment from the outside. It has the highest fat & protein content of any colostrum, making it the most nutrient dense in the world! This fat & protein content also means it has to be produced in smaller and fresher batches, keeping the quality top tier. It's truly a decadent and indulgent ingredient for your skin!
03 / Japanese Akoya nacre pearl powder — This special and unique pearl powder is hand sourced from Akoya oysters of Uwajima bay in Japan. It's also hand-polished, not tested on animals, not hydrolyzed, and has no nanoparticles. Unlike the "hydrolyzed pearl" ingredient commonly seen in the cosmetic world (made by adding chemicals to the pearl's proteins to make them water-soluble) we have avoided these chemicals and preserved the pearls' benefits with integrity. Some of which include:

05 / signature scent [proprietary blend of certified organic essential oils including Neroli (orange blossom)] — Our neroli is sourced from Morocco and contains no fillers such as cheap oils and synthetics. Produced by steam distillation, 100% pure, and certified organic by ECOCERT. Note: Neroli is the flower of the Bitter Orange (Seville) tree (Citrus aurantium var. amara or Bigaradia). Part of the Hesperdia olfactory family, Neroli owes its popularity to Princess Anne-Marie de la Tremoille, Princess of Nerola, who used it to perfume her gloves and bath. In cosmetics, Neroli essential oil is ideal for sensitive and reactive skin due to its gentleness, for mature skin due to its tonic effects, and dry skin due to its regenerating properties. Its fresh scent helps calm the mind and body when diffused in the air.
