Internal Cleansing: What You Need To Know

Have you been feeling “heavy”; bloated, tired, skin is breaking out with acne and redness, your cycle is off or affecting your entire month with the woes of PMS ( hi ladies ) and you have the motivation to do absolutely nothing everyday? Well my friends, I think it is about time to do a cleanse.

In the last couple months, I have been feeling like the above; tired, not-to-hot digestive function, my hormone balance has been noticeably off and my skin is breaking out with zits and rashes under my eyes, including my upper cheek area. Summer is almost here and I do not want to have to worry about covering up my unsightly pimples ( no thank you ), or dealing with this on-off redness.

Solution? Cleansing. I use to be a HUGE cleansing “junkie” and would participate in a purchased or self made cleanse every month. Talk about over-kill? I think so. Cleansing internally is very important and after much research, in addition to going to school and graduating as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I am more than emphatic on doing a cleanse bi-annually and more so if you are struggling with disease.

What is cleansing anyways? Cleansing is basically a method of detoxing the body and removing unwanted parasites and pollutants. These are the two causes of disease according to Hulda Clark ( read her book, The Cure For All Diseases here. This book positively changed my life and opened my eyes! It is a must read if you struggle with acne, pain or any disease. ) and other medical professionals and/or scientists. You can do two types of cleanses: maintenance, which is daily cleansing, and intensive, which is short-term but very effective. I participate in both types of cleansing methods all year round.

So what type of cleanse should you do? There are tons of cleanses on the market, just visit your local health food store if you’d like to get overwhelmed. You can do a liver cleanse, kidney, parasite, bowel, gallbladder… the list goes on. What should you start with? I had this same question. And the answer is different for everyone ( sorry guys, no formula here. I wish…sigh ). The good news: starting with a parasite cleanse is beneficial for EVERYONE to start with and maintain, and is is actually highly recommended to do first by Hulda Clark on page 555 of her book, The Cure For All Diseases. I always thought that liver cleansing was the best cleanse to start with and do, as the liver detoxes our bodies and is responsible for so many vital actions, such as hormone production and keeping our blood levels the perfect pH so we don’t die. But after doing much reading and finding Hulda Clark’s book, I was convinced that the most imperative cleanse to start with was a parasite cleanse.

We are all exposed to parasites on a daily basis, and we all have these living “creatures” in our bodies. It sounds scary, but its true. I always thought, “ I never eat out, I never have sushi or pork, I don’t drink bottled water, I eat super clean…” which is great and all, but just living in our current world that is overburdened with pollutants is enough to confirm that you have parasites. “You are always picking up parasites! Parasites are everywhere around you! You get them from other people, your family, yourself, your home, your pets, undercooked meat, and undercooked dairy products.”(The Cure For All Diseases, page 341-342.) Again, ANY disease, pain, inflammatory skin condition (acne, etc) comes from A) Parasites and B) Pollutants. So, don’t start lying to yourself that you’re clean and free of parasites. So the next question is, how do we get rid of these parasites without living in a box? Well I have more good news: you can eliminate parasites by doing a cleanse and regular maintenance.

Before I tell you how to cleanse parasites and how I am cleansing this spring, it is important for you to know that cleanses such as kidney, liver and bowel are still very important to perform. It’s important to do these cleanses in the right sequence. Personally, I am starting with the parasite cleanse, and then will be doing a kidney cleanse followed by a liver cleanse. I will be supporting my bowels throughout all of the cleanses as it is IMPORTANT to be eliminating at least twice a day. If you are not eliminating twice a day, I would recommend working on your bowels FIRST before conducting a cleanse. This is how the body gets rid of all the parasites and pollutants you are killing and pulling out. I would look into enemas ( I am personally going to do this with all my cleanses ) and doing a bowel cleanse ( you can find more information on bowl cleansing in The Cure of All Diseases.)

My goal every single day is to get my body in its best shape through doing “daily detoxes”, such as rebounding, taking supplements, using clean, organic skin care products, etc., to minimize my body’s pollution and parasite exposure as best I can. And when I know my body needs a boost and is showing symptoms of being overburdened? It’s intensive cleanse time, baby. And don’t let the word “intensive” scare you, it’s a GOOD thing and your body will truly thank you and show it! So now it’s time to get into what I am taking and doing daily for my parasite cleanse.

PARASITE CLEANSE

Supplements You Need + When To Take:

  • Black walnut hull tincture extra strength. Take 2 tsp. once a week or gradually up to 2 tsp. In the first week (ex. Start with 1 drop a day on the first day, two drops on the second, and so on until the sixth day when you can take 2 tsp.) Take before a meal.

  • Wormwood capsules, 200-300mg each. Take one capsule a day for the first two days, two capsules a day for the next two days, and so on until you reach 7 capsules on day 13. Continue taking 7 capsules a day until day 17, and then proceed to take 7 capsules once a week. Take on an empty stomach before a meal.

  • Cloves capsules, about 500mg each. Take 1 capsule 3x a day on the first day, two capsules 3x a day on the second day, and three capsules 3x a day on the third day. Continue taking this dosage until day 11, and only take three capsules a day, once a week. Take each capsule before mealtime (breakfast, lunch and dinner) on an empty stomach.

  • Vitamin C capsules ( make sure they are non-gmo ). I recommend taking at least 2,000mg a day and up. Take with food.

  • Lugols Solution Iodine. I recommend starting with 5 drops and gradually upping until 20 drops. I take this everyday as maintenance, not just during a cleanse.

  • Probiotics. Take 1-2 capsules daily with food, preferably at dinner time. I recommend Genestra probiotics. I am currently taking 15-30 billion daily.

  • Bowl support blend ( ratio of 2 Tbsp. Brown Flax seeds to 1 Tbsp. Black Chia seeds. Recommended to take 3-6 Tbsp. Of mixture daily.) or substitute a gentle fibre supplement.

Foods To AVOID + Foods to ADD-IN During The Cleanse:

  • NO Dairy, wheat, sugar, and anything processed or packaged (cakes, candy, cereal, fruit juices, pop…) No dried fruit, peanuts, strawberries, mushrooms, anything fermented such as sauerkraut, seafood, pasta, white rice, molasses, and flour of any grains. Basically, just stick with low-sugar fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, apples, an abundance of greens, whole unrefined grains such as quinoa and brown rice, lean free-range proteins, nuts and seeds.

  • Do not eat fast food and focus on eating lots of greens, fresh pressed green juices, fresh fruits, whole grains such as quinoa and/amaranth, beans, free-range proteins such as fish, chicken and eggs, nuts and seeds.

Lifestyle Habits To Incorporate:

  • Journaling your symptoms, what you are eating and how you are feeling everyday will be very insightful.

  • Stretching every morning and participating in 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily.

  • Using clean skin and body care products is VERY important. Conventional and sadly most natural skin + body care products are loaded with pollutants. This will inhibit your cleanse, so I really recommend making changes before you begin! Here is a link to some of my favourite skin, body, hair and makeup products… you all know what I use and am committed to for my skin! ;) Be diligent and read your ingredients! There are many helpful books and sources. I will put my top book recommendations at the end of this article.

  • Using clean home products. Think laundry detergent, hand soap, dishwasher soap… I will be doing more posts and videos in the future on my recommendations or home made blends.

  • Dry Brushing once or twice a day. Watch my video here to learn how!

  • Sleeping at least 8 hours every night and going to bed before 10pm.

  • Reduce your EMF and radiation exposure (cellphones, laptops, television, etc.)

This cleanse is 20 days, and can be carried on as daily maintenance to prevent against future reinfection. Expect to feel incredible and this cleanse might just change your life! I am anxious myself to get started and to start feeling my best while taking care of my body. It’s a life journey and process, so don’t let any information on the internet overwhelm you! I have a tendency to let that happen and I end up doing nothing. If you can’t stick to all of the guidelines I gave, don’t use that as an excuse not to do this cleanse. Stick to the program as best you can and I promise you, you won’t regret it! Anyways, I have so much to say but l don’t want to overwhelm you guys any more than I already have. As always, please do not hesitate to comment or email your question(s) to info@shelbynaturals.com if I missed something you want to know!

Xx,

Shelby
